The Financial Guys Host 5k Race in Support of Wounded Warrior Project
Williamsville, NY — [May 29th, 2025] — The Financial Guys are proud to announce the success of the Carry it Forward- Wounded Warrior Project Benefit Race, hosted Memorial Day week at their headquarters in Buffalo, NY. The event was a powerful tribute to our nation’s heroes.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled,” said Mike Lomas, partner of The Financial Guys. “Seeing the community come together—families, veterans, employees—reminded us of the deep respect and gratitude our region holds for those who’ve sacrificed for our freedom.”
The race raised a notable $1500 for the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit that supports veterans through mental health services, job training, and adaptive sports programs. Beyond the race, the evening featured Pesci’s Pizza, music, and refreshments. The Financial Guys extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Amherst Police Department and all the sponsors, volunteers, and community members who made this event possible. Plans are already underway to expand the race in 2026, aiming for an even greater turnout and impact.
