On September 9, 2026, The Financial Guys were honored to host our Heroes on the Harbor BBQ at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park. From 5 to 7 p.m., veterans and their families came together for good food, conversation, and a simple message: thank you for your service.
A day built around gratitude
Heroes on the Harbor is our way of recognizing the men and women who’ve served this country, and the families who’ve stood with them. The afternoon wasn’t about presentations or pitches. It was about connection: sharing a meal near the water, swapping stories, and spending time with people who understand what service asks of a family.
To every veteran and every family who joined us: thank you for coming out, and most importantly, thank you for your service and sacrifice.
Why the USS Little Rock
Although the rain stopped us this year, our intention to hold the BBQ aboard the USS Little Rock put the day in the right place. Being within Buffalo’s Naval Park, a landmark of military history on our waterfront, kept the focus where it belongs: on those who served and the community that supports them.
Looking ahead
We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the day meaningful, from guests to volunteers who pitched in behind the scenes. Events like Heroes on the Harbor are part of how The Financial Guys stay rooted in Buffalo and Western New York, not only as advisors, but as neighbors.
